Biography

Lindsey Batchelor is a fine artist who was born in Kinston, North Carolina. She graduated from East Carolina University on May 9, 2025, with a Magna Cum Laude Honors. Earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art Education and a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a Printmaking Concentration. She also currently has an art studio at Art 105 Studios in Kinston, NC, where she teaches classes, works on current artworks, and exhibits what she creates throughout the gallery. At a very young age, Lindsey developed a love for the arts and was self-taught until she took an art class in high school for her senior year. Honored for her artistic merit at South Lenoir High School, Deep Run, NC, she focused her higher education on the fine arts. Leading to the start of her education journey where she was recognized professionally and has been featured in The Renaissance Magazine published at Wayne Community College, Rebel Magazine published at East Carolina University, Future Education: Academic Journal published in Korea, Confronting Anti-Asian Racism in Art and Visual Culture Education published and shown at the National Art Education Association yearly conference. 

 

During her college career, she was a printmaking guild member and was the secretary until she graduated. She also presented her work in juried shows at the Gray Gallery and Emerge Gallery with the Printmaking Guild in Greenville, NC, eventually earning a scholarship for the Gray Gallery Art Award. To earn her BFA's, she presented her undergraduate show at the Wellington B. Gray Gallery, "The Traveler and the Hare" with a focus in printmaking. While Lindsey attended school, she also explored teaching part-time to adults at her previous job at Wine and Design. She became the most requested art teacher for classes and did wine and design on wheels for a Barnes and Noble Event, private parties, and events for local businesses. During her senior year of college, she eventually branched out to find a studio where she could create outside of her studio space in college. Joining the Art 105 family, she was given a studio space at Art 105 Studios, where she began to create new works, teach classes, and present her work in a gallery setting. Lindsey currently works at this location as a full-time artist, teacher, studio owner, screen printer for Magic Mile Screen Company, and exhibits her work to the public.
